I write to better understand the world around me. I expand on ideas through research and listening to experts on that topic, but also using my intuition and discussions with colleagues.
I believe it's our job as writers to produce the most accurate account of what we know while remaining open to learning things we never knew, we never knew (thank you, Disney's Pocahontas).
There is a great responsibility in storytelling, and I aim to tell my story well.

As a writer, mother, daughter, wife, and deep thinker, I understand the importance of sharing our stories. Reading other people's stories grows empathy by walking in the footsteps of a stranger.
We don't have to understand or compare our story to someone else's; every experience is uniquely our own, and no matter where we've been, we all deserve someone by our side to love us unconditionally.

I began writing as a little girl, when I first knew what a story was and learned the framework of writing. Then life taught me that to live, I must write.
My life experience feeds into the themes I write about. I don't believe writers should have to fit into boxes or follow the norm of past authors and publishers. Everybody has a story to tell. I want to tell mine well.
I encourage myself and other writers to imagine where our stories can take readers if only we are brave enough to set them free into the world. Let's explore our stories together.
Thank you for visiting this space — have a look around and feel free to contact me. Remember to always chase your rainbows--you never know where your dreams might lead you.
